All buyers are required to complete an Affidavit stating that they do not owe any delinquent taxes or civil fines. The required Affidavit form will be provided at check out for the live auction.

1) I do not directly or indirectly hold more that a de minimus interest in any property with delinquent taxes located in Ingham County, Michigan

2) I am not directly or indirectly responsible for any unpaid civil fines for a violation of a city ordinance authorized by section 4l of The Home Rule City Act, 1990 PA 279, as amended, MCL 117.4l, in the city in which the Subject Property is located.

Buyer's who purchase properties at the Ingham County Treasurer's Auction are responsible for paying the current year summer and winter taxes, including any penalties and fees that become due and payable after the date of foreclosure, without any prorating, to the Local Unit of Government, where the property purchased is located (ie: Township, City, Village), and all future taxes associated with the property being purchased. 


Deeds will not be issued until proof of tax payment is received by Ingham County Treasurer.

It is the buyer responsibility to provide proof of tax payments to Ingham County Treasurer.

TERMS OF THE SALE SUMMARY


Ten Percent (10%) of the full purchase price (“Deposit”), with a minimum Deposit of $2,000.00, must be PAID IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION of the Auction or by 4:30 pm in Mason, MI. The full purchase price must be paid to the Treasurer within fourteen (14) days of the date of the Land Sale Auction.

​The purchase price consists of the final bid price, a ten percent (10%) auctioneer fee, a $30.00 per parcel deed recording fee and will also include and require, where applicable, a performance bond to facilitate and guarantee compliance with any existing demolition order. 


The 10% Deposit and minimum bid must be paid with certified bank check or cash. The balance of the purchase price may be paid for by negotiable instrument, including personal or business check, and travelers checks, Sorry No Money Orders and No Credit Cards Accepted.
