and will end when no one bids in 5 minutes, this allows all bidders a chance to respond to bidders jumping in at the last minute.


Winning Bidder Invoices will be sent via email with a deed form immediately following the auction end.


Winning payments should be mailed OVERNIGHT within 24 hours of auction end along with a completed legible DEED form for each property purchased.

​​​Buyer Responsibilities 

Buyers who purchase properties at the Newaygo County Treasurer's Auction
are responsible for paying the 2021 Summer Taxes including any penalties and fees, that become due and payable after the foreclosure date, without any prorating, to the Local Unit of Government where the property being purchased is located (ie: Township, City, Village) and all future taxes associated with the property being purchased.

New in 2021 Summer taxes are included in the Reserve Bid

No Deeds will be issued until proof of payment is received


Buyers who purchase property at the Newaygo County Treasurer's Auction will also be paying a 15% Buyers Premium along with a $59.00 processing fee per property.

This will be added to the final bid price.

Example:

Bid Price:                  $15,000.00

15% Buyers Premium:   $2,250.00

Processing Fee:                 $59.00

Summer Taxes Due           $100.00

Total Purchase Price:   $17,409.00



All bidders are required to sign an Affidavit due to a state statute stating that they do not directly or indirectly hold interest in any property with delinquent taxes in Newaygo County.
​If a buyer held an interest in a property at the time of foreclosure, 
they may only purchase the property back with prior approval of the County Treasurer 
and then only for the amount of the minimum bid or higher.
