Ingham County Open House Schedule 

The Ingham County Treasurer will offer a short payment plan to those who need it.  
You will be required to put 10% down of purchase price at the conclusion of the auction on sale day

(minimum down-payment is $2,000.00 or 10% whichever is greater) 
with remaining balance being due and payable within 14 days from the date of the auction. 
All remaining  balances are due on or before; August 8, 2017 by 4:00 PM.  


Buyers who purchase property at the Ingham County Treasurer's Auction will also be paying a 10% Buyers Premium along with a $59.00 processing fee per property.

This will be added to the final bid price.

Parcels listed with an asterisk (***) will be auctioned subject to an Owner Occupancy Restrictive Covenant.

Parcels listed with a caret (^) will be auctioned subject to an Historic Property Owner-Occupancy Covenant.

​The Ingham County Treasurer makes no warranties, either expressed or implied,

as to the condition or safety of the structures.

Any person entering these structures does so at their own risk and by their entry affirmatively agrees to hold harmless: 

The County of Ingham, Michigan, all elected and appointed officials, all employees and volunteers, all boards,

commissions and/or authorities and board members, including employees and volunteers thereof.

The Ingham County Treasurer requires that all registered bidders place a Deposit of $1,000.00 in Cash or Certified funds be held during the sale; these funds will be returned to you, if you are not successful bidder, exactly as given. (Certified funds should be made payable to yourself; that way if you are not a successful bidder at the sale, you can redeposit the funds back into your account). If you are a successful bidder, the deposited funds will be used towards your purchase. Any remaining balance owed is payable in Guaranteed Funds (Bank Check) or company check or cash.

 You must provide legible email address to receive a confirmation of your registration.  

Buyer's who purchase properties at the Ingham County Treasurer's Auction are responsible for paying the current year summer and winter taxes, including any penalties and fees that become due and payable after the foreclosure, without any prorating, to the Local Unit of Government, where the property purchased is located (ie: Township, City, Village), 
and all future taxes associated with the property being purchased.  

Deeds will not be issued until proof of payment is received by Ingham County Treasurer.

                                               to download the Broker Registration form for registering you as broker/agent for clients whom you have shown properties. To qualify for a commission you must have shown the property to your client and you must attend the Auction with them*. Bidder is required to complete bidder registration. Real estate brokers and agents acting as principles are NOT eligible for a commission. You along with your client will need to check in with Karen day of sale before the sale begins to confirm your qualifications for Commissions*.​

​Note to Buyers: you do not need a Real Estate Agent to buy property at Auction.

***Parcel will be Sold with an Owner-occupancy Covenant.  
This means that the buyer of the property must live in the property for the next 20 years.
The buyer cannot use the property as rental property.
Buyers can sell the property but again that buyer cannot use the property as a rental property.  
The property must be a primary residence for the next 20 years (until 2036)
^Parcel will be Sold with a Historic Property Owner-occupancy Covenant.
This means that the house cannot be DEMOLISHED, or ALTERED
in any way that would affect its HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE.
